The people behind the Office.

The Office brings together personal access, clinical leadership, client relations and care coordination. Each role has a clear purpose in building a continuing relationship around your care.

Your engagement identifies the person leading the Office’s day-to-day work, their role and qualifications, and the professionals responsible for assessment and treatment. Diagnosis, prescribing and treatment remain with the appropriately qualified professionals providing that care.

Care coordination in practice

Look beyond a name or reputation.

  1. 01

    Relevant clinical experience

Consider experience with the question being addressed, the person’s age and circumstances, and any specialist context such as sport or performing arts.

  2. 02

    Credentials and scope

Establish registration or licensing, relevant qualifications and the provider’s scope of practice for the location and service being considered.

  3. 03

    Personal and practical fit

Discuss language, cultural understanding, the person’s preferences, availability and how the proposed care can fit into their life.

  4. 04

    A reasoned recommendation

Explain why the option is being considered, reasonable alternatives, relevant limitations and what remains to be assessed by the treating provider.

Our principle
A recommendation should be understandable as well as clinically appropriate.

A distinct relationship within THE BALANCE Group.

ARCSENA is part of THE BALANCE Group. That relationship is disclosed when group services are considered, alongside any other relevant financial or professional interest. Group ownership is never a sufficient reason to recommend a treatment.

External clinicians and institutions can be considered when they better fit the person’s needs. The Office model is funded through the agreed retainer or engagement, with clinical care separately priced. Any conflict that may affect a recommendation needs to be identified and addressed before a decision.

Our network and group relationship

Keep the plan open to questions.

You can ask why a provider was suggested, request that another opinion be considered or raise a concern about how coordination is working. A review should identify the issue, the person responsible for responding and the next action.

Your engagement agreement should identify the route for coordination concerns and escalation. Concerns about a clinician’s treatment also belong with that provider’s own clinical and complaints arrangements. Changes in need, risk, consent or provider suitability are reasons to revisit the plan.

What the proposal should make clear.

People and service

Your relationship lead, the roles and qualifications relevant to the work, included coordination, contact arrangements, response expectations and review points.

Information and accountability

Consent arrangements, relevant clinical responsibilities, provider relationships, fee approvals and how concerns or the end of an engagement will be handled.

Membership and engagement scope
A few useful answers

Before we begin.

Does ARCSENA replace my treating clinician?

No. The Office coordinates around clinical care. The treating professional remains responsible for their assessment, treatment and clinical records.

Can I ask for an alternative or second opinion?

Yes. The reasons for the request and suitable options can be discussed. Any additional clinical consultation has its own scope, availability and fee.

Who will be responsible for my relationship?

Dr. Sarah Boss is Clinical Lead, Jil Moore is Client Relations Director and Bilgehan Bulut is Clinical Care Director. Your engagement proposal identifies your day-to-day relationship lead and the responsibilities of your treating professionals.

Can I speak personally with Abdullah Boulad?

Yes. Abdullah Boulad, Founder & CEO of THE BALANCE Group, is available for a personal conversation. You can indicate this preference when requesting an introduction to the Office.
